Kate {a senior session} - Columbia, MO photography
You gotta love a girl who shows up for her senior session in jeans, a t-shirt, worn sneakers and a pair of cool shades...AND NOTHING ELSE. No change of outfit, no touch-up makeup, no accessories, NO NOTHIN! This no-nonsense girl is my fabulous niece, Kate, who traveled almost three hours for me to photograph her senior session this past weekend. We had a great time roaming The District and parts of the MU campus. My primary focus was on creating environmental portraits--ones that would use setting, light and emotion to tell the story of her personality. It's basically my way of blending my documentary style with some creative portraiture. And frankly, I think these images are a pretty spot-on reflection of this young lady.
Kate, you were a natural in front of the camera. Hope you and your family enjoy the images!
**DISCLAIMER: I'm not a senior portrait photographer. Traditionally I don't offer or photograph senior sessions because my focus is on documentary imagery. However, when it comes to family, there's always an exception to the rule :)
